Kauai Hawaii has been a popular tourist and vacation destination for literally decades. Planning a vacation to anywhere in Hawaii will deliver you onto beautiful, clean beaches, natural scenery and a huge number of things to do and see.

When traveling, the thing to remember is that the trip is about a holiday or vacation. From the minute you enter the airplane until getting back home, your vacation should be focused on lowering the stress level in your life and getting balance back in your world. Yes, it will cost more but in the end, the vacation will have done it’s job and you will leave Hawaii refreshed and ready to go back to your career or business.

By lowering the stress level, we’re talking about getting the services necessary to keep from having got concern yourself with any difficulties. Take for example getting around at your destination of Kauai. You “could” rent a car and try to find you way around unfamiliar territory. If getting lost, being late, dealing with traffic and the stress of other motorists is your idea of a vacation, go to New York City.

If however, getting to see the sights and enjoying the island is more like vacation time, consider using the services of a tour company, or even hire out a car and driver for an afternoon. Another potential possibility is public transportation. It runs on a regular schedule and you get to people watch while getting around for almost no cash. The car and driver is more expensive but they can get you around to see the local side of the island while the public transportation route takes you to the more popular areas. Maybe using both on different days can give you the benefit of an enjoyable vacation without the worry of a car rental, gasoline, accidents, parking etc.

If you plan on doing some Kauai island sightseeing and need a car rental, consider one with limited miles and leave it at home whenever possible. A weekly rental can cost a couple of hundred dollars but the you shouldn’t feel a need to use it everytime a short trip is in order.

Another idea to lower the stress level is to consider getting a condominium or rental until with a full kitchen. This is especially good if you’re traveling with kids. A quick trip to the neighborhood food store can take care of the childrens eating issues and take you off the breakfast, lunch and dinner, time schedule. Get food that’s easy to prepare and let the kids fend for themselves at least sometimes. This gives them a sense of independence and allows you to sleep in occasionally during the vacation.

The key to a fun and enjoyable Kauai vacation or any Hawaiian vacation, is to get out of the rut and schedule that’s your life back home. Do different things, experiment, see new sights, enjoy a different culture. In all, a Kauai vacation can recharge your batteries and give a new outlook on your world back home

Everybody loves dolphins! One sighting of these majestic, aquatic mammals swimming in their natural habitat can literally take your breath away, but our relationship with these graceful creatures is made even more special because they are extremely social animals, and their rapport with humans is well documented and well understood by both species. What’s more, dolphins are known to be a highly intelligent species, and swimming with these gentle animals can actually teach us about community, love and communication.

Dolphins love to swim with people, and you, too, can enjoy swimming with the dolphins in the warm, calm and clear blue waters of the Big Island of Hawaii. Many people say they feel changed after the experience, and it is certainly one you will not soon forget.

Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are the most common to the waters just off the Big Island.  Between seven hundred and a thousand Spinner Dolphins reside year round along the Kona coastline. The shallow sandy bottom and protected bays provide a perfect natural  habitat  for  dolphins. At night they can be found a bit further offshore, but during the day they move nearer to shore where they play all day long in sheltered coves.

Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are the smallest dolphin in Hawaii – about the size of an adult human.  These creatures are very predictable, so it is not dangerous to swim with them, especially in the company of an experienced guide.

A typical Big Island Wild Dolphin Swim begins in the morning. Heading up the scenic Kona coastline  with a warm, gentle sea breeze at your back, the search for the Spinner Dolphins parallels the white sand beaches of the Big Island.  The location of where the dolphins  can  be  found  varies  from  day to day,  but they can almost always be found at Makalawena, Kiholo Bay, or Hoona Bay. Whatever the location of your swim with the dolphins, the mystique of these amazing creatures promises an unequalled experience.

Once a pod has been located you can enter the water and snorkel with as many as three hundred dolphins.  Allow the dolphins to approach you.  Swim gently – do not chase or pursue them.  Keep splashing to a minimum.  It is best to swim with your hands at your sides. Respect the dolphins and be considerate. Do not touch or feed them. Remain alert.  Dolphins may swim underneath you or approach you from behind, but do not dive with them.  Avoid sudden actions or noise that may startle the dolphins, and always respect their personal space. Remember, you are a guest in their home, and they must determine the nature and length of an encounter with you.

Swimming with wild dolphins is not only great fun, but it also offers many a profound spiritual experience.  Dolphins are creative, playful and unconditionally loving.  These magical creatures can awaken your soul, so be sure to take advantage of this amazing experience when you visit the Big Island of Hawaii.

When you are planning your vacation to Maui, you may be wondering whether or not to rent out a condo. On the plus side you get to stay somewhere private where you can do what you like when you like, but on the other hand it can sometimes be expensive.

If you are struggling to decide whether or not to rent a condo, you may want to read on to see the best condo rental services in Maui. This will help to give you a good idea of what is available and it will hopefully help you to make a more informed decision too.

The Best Maui, Hawaii Condo Rentals

If you are beginning your search for a condo rental in Maui, you ideally should have some idea of what you are looking for. You will need to know:

• What your ideal budget is

• How many people will be sleeping there

• The location of the condo

• How long you will be staying for

The location in particular can be important because if you cannot drive then it would be no good renting a condo in the rural parts of Maui. However, if you can drive then you have the choice of going practically wherever you want.

However, the most important aspect of finding a condo rental to suit you is the price. If you want to stay near to local activity and the beaches, it is likely that you will have to pay more for the convenience. So it is better to look around to find something to suit your budget the most.

If you are on a bit of a budget, the Condominium rentals are especially good. They have condos all around Hawaii and you can get ones either on the beach front or in more rural areas. They do particularly good Maui condo rental packages which are really good on your budget. If budget is not a problem, they also offer more luxurious hotel style condo options too.

Hawaii Condo exchange also does some good deals and it provides condos on the Kaanapali coastline as well as in Wailea. Again, you can rent condos either close to the beach and local amenities, or you can rent slightly more rural condos if you would prefer. They have condos to suit all budgets so if you want something a little more luxurious they can cater for it.

Overall, Maui Hawaii condo rentals are quite easy to find. There really is something to suit all budgets and you can choose from a number of locations around Maui to suit your needs. So no matter whether you are looking to relax in the rural parts of Maui, or whether you would prefer to be close to the beach and within walking distance of local amenities, there will always be a Maui condo rental to suit you.

President Barack Obama went golfing on New Year’s Eve. The president hit the links at Mid-Pacific Country Club in the same Honolulu suburb of Kailua where he’s renting a beachfront home for the holidays.

Obama earlier went to Windward Mall in Kaneohe to see a 3-D version of the movie “Avatar” with his daughters and family friends. They enjoyed a special screening of the movie and had a theater to themselves before regular showings began for the day. Obama started his day with a workout at the gym on the Marine Corps base in Kaneohe Bay.

Also, President Barack Obama, family and friends visited sea animals and the beach during their weekend Hawaii vacation activities.

Obama, his daughters and his half-sister spent about an hour Saturday at Sea Life Park, a marine center east of Honolulu in Waimanalo. Sea Life Park has animals including dolphins, sea lions, penguins, stingrays and sea turtles. The first family and friends later drove to the beach at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe. But the Obama family and friends had Sea Life Park mostly to themselves during their visit because it hadn’t opened yet.

While their motorcade returned to the vacation home in Kailua, they were greeted by a group of protesters calling themselves “disaffected Democrats.” They waved signs saying “we love you” and “support the public option.”

The Honolulu-born president has been vacationing in Hawaii since Christmas Eve. He’s due to return to Washington next week.
